Overhead Unit Heaters

Forced air unit heaters, specifically the Modine Hot Dawg are our most popular heater for garages as they can heat up the space very quickly. These units have proven to be very reliable with a less than 1% call back on service calls for us in their first year of operation. They are low profile, hang close to the ceiling and have a fan which circulates the air. They are power vented, and the exhaust can exit the structure through the roof or sidewall. We also install other common brands including Reznor but have found in our experience that the Modine Hot Dawg has proven to be a much more reliable unit.
Direct Vent Wall Heaters
Direct vent wall heaters are highly efficient, drawing combustion air from outside and venting directly outdoors. This design prevents carbon monoxide from entering the garage and avoids using already heated indoor air for combustion. These heaters are safe and efficient, ideal for garages where hazardous fumes might be present. They mount on an outside wall and are compact, taking up minimal space while providing effective heating.
Radiant Tube Heaters
Radiant tube heaters are excellent for spot heating, warming objects and surfaces rather than air. They are ideal for areas like workbenches and patios but can be less suitable for residential garages due to clearance and intensity issues. These heaters radiate heat efficiently, but they are best kept at a constant temperature rather than turned off and on frequently.
Choosing the Right Heater
Selecting the right garage heater depends on your specific needs and space constraints. Overhead Units heat the space quickly and evenly. Direct vent heaters offer safety and efficiency, while radiant tube heaters provide focused heating for specific areas. They all come in various sizes and capacities to suit different garage setups.
Underground Gas Lines
Are you planning to install a garage heater? Or perhaps an outdoor living space? As these areas aren’t always attached to your home, a secondary underground gas line is installed to deliver gas from your main meter to appliances located in those areas. For example, if you want to install a garage heater but the garage isn’t attached to your house, our gas fitters will run the gas line, underground, from the meter or the main inside your house to the point where your garage heater will connect to it in your garage.
